The Easter Express 2026
The Easter Express - A Springtime Family Adventure.
Families will enjoy a full springtime adventure with a train ride, live characters, crafts, games, a bunny petting zoo, woodland discoveries and a chocolate treat.

Hop aboard The Easter Express this Easter and enjoy a fun-filled day out at Oakfield Park.
This is more than an Easter hunt — it’s a full park adventure with a train ride, characters, games, bunnies, crafts and plenty of springtime fun.
Your visit starts with a ride on The Easter Express train, decorated with colourful Easter eggs along the track. Keep your eyes peeled — spring is popping up everywhere!
A Lovely Easter Day Out
The Easter Express is designed to be relaxed and fun, with plenty to do at your own pace — no rushing, just happy Easter memories.
Who shall you meet along the way?
As you explore the park, you’ll meet lots of friendly egg-citing characters, each with something fun to do:
The Easter Bunny welcomes you at the Piazza and station The Mad Hatter plays silly time games and riddles in his den
The Spring Fairy helps children hang a spring wish on the Fairy Tree
The Keeper of Spring shares short stories and helps wake up the castle
Woodland Friends help spot signs of spring by the Fountain Lake
The Busy Bumblebee gets everyone buzzing between giant flowers
The Queen of Hearts guards the maze with help from her Playing Card Guards
🎨 Crafts, Bunnies & Extra Fun
Peter Rabbit’s Workshop – colouring, crafts and creative fun (indoors)
Petting Zoo – meet and cuddle real bunnies
Face Painting available on the day
Easter Shop for treats and gifts
The Easter Hunt (With a Twist!) Solve it, swap your token, and enjoy a chocolate Easter treat at the end!
Capture the Memories
There are lots of great photo spots around the park, plus a professional photographer will be in attendance if you’d like a special family picture.
A Springtime ending = Before you leave, each child will receive a seed card with a simple message:
Buffers restaurant will be open throughout The Easter Express, serving a delicious selection of hot & cold dishes, alongside speciality coffees, teas and drinks of choice. No pre-booking is required. Tempting ice- cream and treats will be available from the Vintage Van on the piazza.Make your Easter a memorable one with our mouth-watering treats!
Please note that this is an outdoor event. Wear walking shoes and bring appropriate outdoor clothing as you will be on foot. If you bring a buggy, please be aware that we can only take small collapsible ones on the train. Larger buggies must be left at the Buggy Park before boarding and collected again when you start the Hunt (2-minute walk.) For accessible bookings please call Oakfield Park direct.
We ask that you arrive at least half an hour before your scheduled train departure (time on your ticket), but you can to join us anytime from 11.30am until 6pm. If your train is later in the day, then please ensure to arrive an hour or two before your train departure so you don’t miss out on any activities.
